A succusses Japanese food and produce centre seek experienced and enthusiastic Sushi/ Sashimi chef/ Hot Food Preparation staff for their busy west London Hub. If you have solid experience working in a fast-paced Asian kitchen environment we want to hear from you!
You will be focused on preparing authentic Japanese sushi and sashimi, with a focus on fresh seasonal ingredients. As a Sushi/ sashimi chef/ preparation assistant, you will demonstrate exceptional knowledge in sashimi/ sushi preparation and have excellent knife skills. You will be delivering high standard sashimi/ sushi products for customers and you are expected to always practice proper food handling procedure and cleanliness.

Role and Responsibilities:
Have a good knowledge of sashimi/ sushi products, and deliver these daily with the
kitchen team.
Sashimi/ sushi creation, be able to innovate in the kitchen, in a way which will challenge and excite the customer and enhance the company’s brand image
Display creativity by finding new ways to garnish food presentations, giving our site distinctive edge.
Create and have the ability of meat cutting and hot food cooking.
Overseeing and completing daily preparation work in the department, filleting fish, and preparing sashimi/ sushi to fill sashimi/ sushi cases and customer orders.
Take regular inventory of his site food supply, including fish, rice and other ingredients.
Responsible for production, ordering and receiving, merchandising, controlling inventory, hygiene standards and safety within departments operation. Ensuring compliance with health and safety and food safety procedures; and in maintaining a high degree of cleanliness throughout the preparation area.
This role requires you to stand for your whole shift (excluding breaks)
The Ideal Candidate
Have proven kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment Preferably a Japanese/Asian kitchen
Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Passion for working in the kitchen and delivering excellent food quality.
Excellent communication with colleagues of all levels.
Great customer service skills.
An understanding of Food Safety standards.
Ability to multitask with a "hands on" approach to work.
Experience within a Japanese restaurant/ production is an advantage.
Knowledge of Japanese food and culture
preparation
A two-hour trial shift will be required before employment is considered.

Location: London - White City
Salary £20k-25k DOE
Full-time 40-45 hours a week (shift work between 6:30am – 9:00pm including weekends)
