A Japanese financial institute in the City of London is currently recruiting an IT Planning - Support staff.
This role will support the CIO and Technology Planning across a number of core disciplines that are critical to the operations of IT.
Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
SALARY: Depending on experience

Key Job Functions
• Work closely with the CIO and IT planning department to enhance core IT governance and controls across the organisation
• Work closely with key IT stakeholders and the senior IT management team to help define, create and maintain core Management Information (“MI”) and Data.
• Work with senior colleagues in Finance and IT to enhance the IT Procurement processes, ensuring that critical budgets are captured and reported up to the CIO & planning.
• Work with Risk colleagues to ensure that mandatory processes are completed in-line with company policy.
• Where necessary, assist in Meeting Management, including minutes and documentation prep.
• Working across technology to represent the CIO in special projects and initiatives.
• Work with HR in collating and maintaining the resource allocations and hiring processes for IT.
• Create and contribute to team processes and procedures.
• Participate in 3rd Party relationship management

• Assist with the operations of IT based on the departmental procedures and instructions from managers.
• Produce consistent MI on a monthly basis across core IT (controls)
• Produce consistent Reports and packs for senior management and committees.
• Provide support for IT Planning and the CIO.
• No direct reports.
• Maintain documentation repositories
• Generation and maintenance of MI and Data
• Production of reports and presentation packs.
• Project Manage special initiatives as defined by the CIO

Key Skills & Abilities
• Good Excel-based spreadsheet / quantitative and data management skills
• Good presentation and reporting skills
• Understanding of bank operational processes and BAU expectations
• Familiarity with project management methodologies
• Ability to handle communications at all levels from across the whole business, including Front Office
• Demonstrated experience dealing with high level stakeholders in a financial environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge in Finance, Accounting is a plus.
• College/University graduate or equivalent. Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
