You will be working closely with the CEO and COO in carrying out the HR functions to support the business, carrying out all HR project manager
Familiarity with Japanese culture/ or some connection to Japan would be advantageous.
Main Responsibilities:
- All day-to-day HR matters including HR administration, produce and issue offer letters, contracts of employment, reference requests, right to work checks and changes to terms and conditions documentation etc
- Manage the HR system and ensure that all documentation is present, including adding new joiner induction, probation, performance reviews, development plans, salary reviews and exit interviews
- Act as company’s Authorising Officer & Key Contact for Home Office Immigration visa scheme
- Maintain & ensure compliance with the company’s Sponsors Licence for Workplace visas
- Act as the company’s Data Protection Officer in relation to General Data Protection Regulations
- Produce HR reports for workforce statistics, absence data, KPI’s, staff turnover, exit interviews, equal opportunities and diversity, probation and other HR related statistics on a monthly basis for the senior management team
- Initiate and maintain a robust appraisals process for all employees
- Initiate and maintain training programmes for employees as required
- Manage all grievance & disciplinary issues
- Manage all staff welfare issues
- Manage & administer automatic enrolment of employees to Standard Life Pension scheme and life assurance scheme.
- Assist the COO in drafting and implementation of the company’s policies and Code of Conduct
- Support department managers in the recruitment and induction process
- Send monthly schedule of starters & leavers to payroll, manage holidays and sick leave
- Manage holidays and sick leave, coordinating with payroll on pay related matters
- Revise and update existing policies on an annual basis
Ideal Candidate:
- Level 3 HR Qualification or similar preferred
- Proven experience of Human Resources Management
- Ability to interpret and apply Employment, GDPR and Immigration law within a work context
- Excellent written and verbal English a requirement, Japanese an advantage
- Advanced Excel and IT skills
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
