English speaking Back Office Clerk

A Japanese consumer products’ manufacturer is seeking a part-time Back Office Clerk (including accounting backup) to join their Amsterdam office.
Main duties include documentation of import/exports and labour management. In addition to this, some back-up of accounting duties (only in the absence of an accounting employee)

TYPE: Part-time, initially 6 – 12months contract (potential to become permanent)
WORKING HOURS: 20 hours per week, 5 hours per day (4 days a week)
SALARY: €1,600 /month (gross, plus Holiday Allowance) + performance bonus 1 month / year
LOCATION: Amsterdam, the Netherlands (After training, 2 days working from home is acceptable)
Benefits: Full commuting allowance (public transportation), pension

Main Responsibilities:
• Preparation of outbound / inbound documents
• Filing and sending shipping documents to the warehouse
• Arranging office supplies and courier
• Expense claim handling
• Recording work registration of employees
• Preparing payroll info, and payment of salaries
• Updating holiday hours file
• Report sick hours
• Arrangement of necessary documents in personnel
• Arrangement of the necessary equipment for the employee

Ideal Candidate:
• At least 1 year working experience in the Netherlands
• More than 2 years relevant experience with basic knowledge of accounts
• Fluency in English
• Any level of Japanese skill is advantageous
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Work effectively with other team members, willing to share knowledge and skills
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
