Main Responsibilities:
- Acting for buyers and sellers in the disposal of freehold and leasehold investment properties including mixed-use portfolios
- Acting for commercial landlords and tenants, assignors and assignees in lease grants, statutory and contractual renewal of leases and leasehold management matters
- Understanding of planning agreements and obligations and construction documentation relating to collateral warranties and basic JCT provisions
- Structuring transactions and reviewing and commenting on Heads of Terms
- Contracts for sale and purchase, reviewing title, dealing with searches, exchange and completion and post completion
- Providing support and supervision to other fee earners across the team and sharing knowledge as and when required
- Access rights, conditional contracts, overage agreements and option agreements
- Acting on secured lending transactions borrower or lender
- Residential transactions including off-plan purchases, assignment purchases and sales, sub-sales, second-hand purchases and sales, grant of new leases, leases extensions, transfer of equity, residential mortgages, bridging loans, Islamic financing
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience of high-volume caseload, dealing with deadlines and contract races
- Good communicator with clients, colleagues and property agents including producing reports on title and lease
- Experience in valuing and quoting for work and working knowledge of compliance and risk profile
- Excellent academics and team player
