RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Owner/Shareholder representative and Manager’s representative for a fleet of LNGC’s that are owned under JV
• Assist the Manager in maintaining close and effective communications with: Charterers Representatives based in Istanbul, Moscow, and Singapore, and JV Owners based in Japan, Hong Kong & China
• Understanding of all contractual documentations and correct application of all contractual terms and conditions to daily tasks where required
• Ensure effective governance and compliance of all relevant Agreements listed below, however the list is not exhaustive, Time Charter Party, Ship Management Agreements, Joint Venture and Shareholder Agreements, Shipbuilding Contracts, Facility Agreement, Insurance policies (H&M, Loss of Hire, War and P&I)
• Ensure vigorous control and review of Ship Technical Manager actual spend v budget
• Understanding of pre-delivery and post-delivery budgets, able to assist with reviewing them, and advise Technical Manager the budget assumptions where require
• Preparation of analysis reports between different set of budgets (pre-delivery and post-delivery budgets) and actuals and/or estimates.
• Preparation the financial part of various report such as Business Report and Shareholder presentation
• May be require to attend and/or present the reports to various stakeholders such as Senior Management, Joint Venture Owners, and Charterers
• In depth understanding of the project to be able to efficiently monitor, correctly track OPEX & CAPEX costs, items for recharges and advice Technical Manager and various Finance Departments accordingly
• Maintain account payable and receivable function, keep up to date with funding schedules and management fee schedules including calculations
• Identify and improve processes and/or procedures to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure relevant certificates, licenses and insurance documents are in place and renewal of such documents in good time manner
• Ensure effective management of the special purpose companies contained within the joint venture projects
• Prepare Budget documents and analysis for approvals
• Ensure effective communications with all stakeholders.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• AAT qualified and/or studying towards accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
• Financial and management accounts experience is preferable
• Accounting systems experience
• Numerically astute and comfortable reporting large numbers to management (USD$ millions)
• Capable to report complex commercial matters in a few salient points and provide resolution(s) to manager
• Shipping experience is preferable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Familiar with and able to logically interpret contractual documentations
Desirable
• Good understanding of LNG market gained at another owner and / or energy company
• Claims handling (Insurance, charter-party disputes etc.)
• Familiarity with LNG Time Charter/ Shipbuilding contractual terms and associated commercial agreements
• Stakeholder engagement
