A Japanese cultural hub based in West London seeks a Partnership Manager to join their busy office. You will lead on the management and administration of the company’s strategic corporate partnerships and member relations. You will work closely with the wider Corporate Development Team to develop and strengthen channels. The Partnerships Manager should have a passion for UK-Japan relations and excellent interpersonal skills. You will have a positive and professional approach and a strong demonstrated interest in both business and culture.
The Role

Audiences
• Promote the benefits of membership to prospective and current members.
• Develop an annual series of member events to cultivate and engage corporate supporters.
• Create and deliver a regular Corporate Members’ Newsletter.
• Act as an ambassador for the organisation at events, meetings and any other relevant opportunities.
• Attend and support events/activities in order to promote the Company, ensure that corporate donors, potential corporate donors and members are cultivated and supported.
Partnerships
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of current and potential prospects.
• Build and manage effective relationships to maximise corporate support and engagement.
• Make appropriate and researched approaches to potential supporters.
• Support the Head of Partnerships with the creation of proposals and presentations, ensuring all communication is of highest quality and on brand.
• Proactively build and maintain close working relationships across the internal teams to facilitate communication and collaboration.
• Strengthen relationships with other Japan-related organisations within the UK.
• Achieve and exceed personal targets and support the team to deliver overall income revenue targets.
• Manage the development of Corporate Membership and Sponsorship schemes.
• Manage CRM database and activity for Corporate Development contacts and benefit tracking as well as list preparation for mail outs.
The Ideal Candidate

• Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification.
• Additional experience and / or supplementary courses completed in CSR, Marketing, PR, Fundraising, International Relations or associated areas advantageous.
• At least three years’ experience in a similar role, with responsibilities for relationship building, communications, partnership development and /or fundraising.
• Exposure to relevant sector (museum, gallery, arts, business, visitor attraction, heritage destination, tourism development or pr agency) preferred. Experience working in Japan and/or for a Japanese organisation preferred.
• Knowledge of business, planning, corporate development, fundraising.
• A strong understanding of Japanese culture and history.
