A freight forwarder in Middlesex is looking to recruit a Japanese-speaking Sales Assistant Manager. You will be responsible for liaising with other group companies for sales leads and enquiries to win new businesses and expand sales and gross profits, setting up own sales targets and strategies cooperating with Sales Senior Manager, maintain and develop relationships with existing customers.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
 
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30 from Monday to Friday

SALARY: up to £30K depending on experience

LOCATION: Middlesex


RESPONSIBILITY:

Maintain relationship with existing customers and seek new opportunities to expand business.
Produce quotations for customers and propose better options based on their feedback.
Set up and improve operation flows for new business cooperating with customers and other staff.
Maintains and updates professional and technical knowledge such as sea freight, air freight, by rail, by road, custom clearance or dangerous goods handling.
Analyses Group services to expand sales and also develop new service proposals to customers.
Propose new service and support setting up as service packages.
Promote services of not only freight forwarding but also transport and warehousing.
Record sales activities on the Sales Management System and shares progress on each business opportunity.
Liaise with each department and sub-contractors to provide and expand services to meet customers’ demand.
Attend on site and supervises operations.
Provide support to House Hold Goods department on quotations, attendances, and correspondences.

IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

Good understanding of freight forwarding business
Sales experience
Negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent written and communications skills
Business level of fluency in both English and Japanese
Full clean driving licence
