A leading gaming company is looking for a highly motivated and responsible individual to join their team.
The company is currently expanding and there will be opportunities to learn new skills and about different roles. There may be chances to build your career within the company and the games industry!
All candidates will need to be available to work with them on either a casual basis or a project-by-project basis, depending on the length of the project.
Long term opportunities may be available to the right candidate who is able to demonstrate the necessary skills and attitude.

Type: Full-time, fixed term contract

Salary: £20K base salary pro-rata with a £100 a month language supplement

Working time: TBC (most likely Mon to Fri and office working hour)

Work setting: Work from home to start with, then hybrid style afterwards

Office Location: London or Glasgow office


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Translation of in-game contents and any other translations, such as in-game text, promotional text, manuals and more, that may be necessary for the final product
Creating and maintaining terminology databases/glossaries for games contents, translation of internal and external documents and translation of contents for all clients

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Most fluent language will be English and high proficiency in Japanese
Ability to work under pressure and meet given deadlines
Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
Interest and knowledge of videogames and platforms
Keen eye for detail
Excellent MS Office skills
 
PREFERRED SKILLS: 
Experience with CAT tools
Understanding of games industry and game terminology
Translation experience (Preferably within the games industry)
Passion for video games
Previous experience in Localisation QA (Quality Assurance) of video games will be an advantage
