The Speciality Chemicals Unit in Europe is trading mainly petrochemicals and raw materials for the plastics industry from external partners and group companies.
This position requires a candidate who has initial experience in the sales business (import & export). The ideal candidate will bring specific experience in the petrochemicals or plastics industry. Depending on the actual experience, the position will be set on either junior or senior level. More important than specific chemical knowledge is a high amount of willingness to learn, ambition and determination. Fluent English and German is a must.

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, Flex-Time system, 38.5 hours a week
SALARY: up to €55k depending on experience, plus good benefits
(potentially negotiable up to €60k)

LOCATION: Dusseldorf, Germany
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing sales to customers and the entire business chain (from supplier to customer, incl. logistics)
Building and maintaining long term relationships with customers and suppliers at all levels
Proactively developing new business in the areas of responsibility
Initializing contacts with new customers and suppliers
Providing technical product information to potential customers
Reporting effectively to management

Ability to act as the bridge between suppliers and customers and balancing the interests
Strong team player
Interest in the chemicals industry (ideally in petrochemicals and plastics), plus applications, markets, technologies
Proactive thinking and action would be very important to get necessary confidence from the business partners
Good communication skills with internal and external persons
Self-motivation, flexibility, accuracy, and strictness
