A Japanese trading company in Dusseldorf is currently recruiting an Assistant for their Risk Management Department.
The role will be responsible for the issues, maintenance, producing, and providing of data for the Risk Management Department in Düsseldorf and London, as well as for their Head office in Japan.
Business level English is required, and some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese and German skill would be advantageous.
TYPE: Temporary staff with option for 2 years-fixed-term-contract
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, Flex-Time system, 38.5 hours a week
SALARY: up to € 38.4k depending on experience, plus good benefits

LOCATION: Dusseldorf, Germany

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To issue and maintain customer codes for all European offices in order to pay / receive invoices through the internal accounting system. To examine if the customers are sufficient for reliance before issuing the code
• Follow up and monitor stock Aging Lists for several offices.
• Monitor the European office’s Long/Short stock positions and report them to Europe Management as well as Head office in Tokyo
• Register credit limit information and insurance information onto the internal accounting system to manage the data for Risk Management purpose.
• Manage, maintain, and update credit limits data of all European offices. Producing monthly lists showing the present credit limits condition (expired limits, no limits or over limits) and overdue information
• Produce monthly credit control lists and customer credit limit reports for various branches
• Apply and collect D & B reports for each business departments based on the request.
• File important documents
• Preparation of ad-hoc reports
• Provide cover and support for other members of the Risk Management team

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Experience working for an international trading company
• Experience dealing with credit insurance companies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Business level fluency in English
• Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese and German language skill would be advantageous
• Knowledge and working experience of accounting software (such as SAP and SAGE) would be advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills would be advantageous (WHEN & IF statements, data sorting & filtering, SUM, VLOOKUP, array formulas, knowledge of PIVOT and Macros,)
