TYPE: Full time, fixed contract (6 months)
HOURS: 37.5 hours a week
SALARY: up to £40K DOE
START: ASAP
LOCATION: London (Hybrid working - 1 day in the office – It may change depending on the company’s decision.)
ACCOUNTANT MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff Expenses Management
• Ensure Staff Expenses, both cash and company credit card are being processed correctly and prepare the payments in a timely manner
• Handle the enquiries across the staff to ensure no errors are found
Support Accounts Payable Management
• Prepare the payments in a timely manner
• Deal with the relevant payment’s transactions, such as payment clearing and so on
Support preparing Cash flow statement
• Preparing the base data for cash in/out
Support Intercompany transactions
• Reconcile the intercompany transactions each month and liaise with the person in charge of inter company in other countries
Support Monthly/Quarterly close
• Support accounting transactions when/as necessary
Other
• Interact closely with other departments to ensure new transactions/any matters are handled smoothly
• Monitors and analyses department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Deal with ad-hoc projects when/as necessary.
ACCOUNTANT IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• AAT/ACCA/ ACA/ US CPA or any other accounting qualifications are beneficial
• IFRS/JP GAAP accounting knowledge an advantage
• Familiar with Japanese J-SOX an advantage
• Business level Japanese language both written and verbal an advantage
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with SAP an advantage
• To have a ‘can do’ attitude essential
• To be flexible to attend to urgent business requirements as needed.
• To assist across the Finance and business functions to assist on various projects when needed and to cover during holidays and/or absence
• Proactive and reliable
• Able to facilitate and support changing business needs
• To be available for communication with European, US and Japanese colleagues as and when required
• Keen attention to detail, able to fully comply with process, regulation, and company policy requirements
• Business level of fluency in English
