A Japanese logistic company is looking to appoint an engaged and delivery-focused HR admin and Recruitment professional at their Amsterdam office. On top of the recruitment responsibilities, the candidate will have a diverse range of HR related administrative challenges in a very dynamic, fast-moving company. You will work closely with their HR team and clients (internal and external) to provide day to day support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their HR career or who has recently graduated from university with a HR related degree as you will gain excellent exposure to the full range of generalist HR.
Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill will be advantageous.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday
SALARY: €28-36K depending on experience (Commission for each placement and profit share will be additional)
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Amsterdam, The Netherlands (Hybrid work style)

RESPONSIBILITY:
• Finding innovative ways to find and hire new employees in a challenging and competitive market
• New starters and leavers and administration
• Generating contract variation letters from templates and as directed, drafting letters for colleagues
• Leading several projects, for example the transition from ‘’old school’’ filing to paperless working
• Absence recording and reporting
• Payroll assistance and preparation
• HR filing and providing support on the formalization of SOP(s) and/or audit compliance
• Responding to everyday queries from clients and supporting our department on a wide range of basic employment law and best practice HR
• Managing and scheduling social media activity for recruitment campaigns and uploading vacancies on relevant platforms
• Supporting with a range of employee relation cases including preparing letters, note taking, and documentation
• Preparing policies
• Preparing procedures and guidance documents for a range of HR subjects
• Managing and (if necessary) improving HR software internally, as well as tailoring, setting up and implementing unused functionalities
• Attending scoping meetings to capture requirements and create SOPs and processes for new accounts to reflect the agreed processes
• To coordinate the provision of recruitment services
• Using LinkedIn and other platforms to headhunt/target candidates for retained recruitment searches
• To work with the HR team to research and draft HR interventions to meet our clients’ needs

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Practical experience of working in a Recruitment or generalist HR role – with a more than solid understanding of employment practices and basic employment legislation
• Able to work on own initiative
• Customer and employee centric approach
• Methodical and organised
• Ability to work quickly and manage competing priorities
• Highly numerate and able to calculate, check, or understand and assist on all Payroll related tasks
• Experience of working with confidential information
• Pragmatic problem-solving ability
• Flexible and willing to learn
• Business level of fluency in English
• Some understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese/Dutch languages would be advantageous
