Due to the nature of the business, the role would suit someone familiar with East Asian flavours (especially Japanese), ingredients and bakery products with practical experience in a similar establishment.
Working hours : around 6:30 – 17:00 (Wed-Sun)
Place : West London
Salary : 40-45k (depending on experience)
Core Duties
• Prepare wide variety of Japanese bakery goods – sweet and savoury breads
• Manage day to day of operation of bread section
• Create new items as well as established products
• Participate in production development, i.e. planning for expansion.
Ideal candidate:
• At least 3 years of experience in a commercial bakery environment
• Familiar with East Asian bakery techniques, flavours and ingredients (either through work or personal interest), especially Japanese
• Able to commit to flexible work patterns undertaking early morning shifts as well as weekend work if/when required
• Exceptional baking skills
• Be creative and innovative
• Japanese language skill is advantageous
