Account Manager to help us build and lead a business development/growing Sales for Sellers on Amazon JP.
The role of Life & Leisure (L&L) Account Manager
New Sellers in Japan in L&L categories (such as toys, sports & outdoor, automotive, and home improvement) are driving inputs to accelerate the Amazon flywheel.
This position will work cross-functionally with the Retail Category teams as well as Product teams across Amazon’s Seller business, to ensure that critical feedback is provided to continue to influence the product roadmap.

[Core Responsibilities]
• Drive FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) selection and Marketplace Prime selection by identifying, qualifying, and engaging with prospective Selling Partners based on a clear understanding of our Selling Partners and their needs
• Manage a portfolio of Selling Partners concurrently and strategically to drive sustainable sales growth, based on a strong understanding of marketplace programs, tools and processes
• Analyse customer data and make recommendations to maximize the potential of the assigned Selling Partners
• Implement and track metrics for recording the success and quality of the sellers in your Selling Partner portfolio. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity
• Understand and utilise CRM tools such as Salesforce to track all pertinent account information and sales progress
• Develop a thorough understanding of the Amazon Marketplace 3rd party services industry and competitive environment, including knowledge of competing product offerings

8,000,000 – 9,000,000 Japanese Yen (£60-68k equivalent) per year + Bonus

[Qualification and Skills]
• 5+ years’ work experience with sales or marketing experience, ideally in E-Commerce, retail technology, SaaS, or software
• BA and BS degree or higher
Business Skill
• Strong analytical skills including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to successfully influence at all levels within an organisation, particularly at executive level
• Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach
• A passion for developing an engaging customer user experience with demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements
• Superior communication and presentation skills
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
• Business level English
• Native level Japanese

[Preferred background]
• MBA qualification
• E commerce, B2C online business and/or retail business
• Financial knowledge of understanding business from P/L, B/S point of view
• Business level English - speaking, writing, and reading
• SQL
