Japanese speaking Front Office Strategist for Trading

In this role you will be responsible for managing the planning and the implementation of directives and plans from the trading head, taking new business initiatives and platforms from idea level to implementation, creating thorough presentations and having the ability to drive the approval process and ensure project progression through timely completion.
You will also be responsible for helping to develop and adapt the business strategy of the derivative products in line with the growth plans of the entire derivative department.
You will need to work with key senior management stakeholders across the organisation and across different departments, so you will also have to manage the process, presentation, and approval of new business.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the interest rate and currency derivative products and be familiar with trading operations. Trading experience preferred.

FRONT OFFICE STRATEGIST FOR TRADING MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage projects and initiatives of the derivative trading team
• Implementation of trading business directives and plans from the trading head
• Be able to evaluate transactional risks associated with derivatives, securities, financing, and structured trades as it related to the financial institutions landscape
• Maintain close awareness and understanding of the company and bank-wide issues and challenges that impact their project and initiatives: actively track issues and work with various stakeholders to ensure project success. Run front office project meetings and ensure deadlines are met
• Write business plans and develop strategy for new business lines or new products. Drive and champion the approval up the management chain. Work closely with relevant business areas including derivatives, securities, especially Fixed Income, banking, and sales to gain support / consensus
• Review new internal systems or system updates. Be able to evaluate the impact of various new systems
FRONT OFFICE STRATEGIST FOR TRADING IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Strong understanding of derivative products
• Derivative trading experience is preferred
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with the ability to quickly learn new programs and applications
• Business level of fluency in both English and Japanese
• Strong communication skills and adept at establishing professional credibility at all levels with the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders in order to develop the business
• Excellent planning, organisation, and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and on varying agenda simultaneously flexing priorities when necessary
