A leading blue-chip international trading business in the heart of the City is seeking an experienced Senior Trade Finance Assistant to join their team.
Working in a trade finance team of 10, the role will support the finance function of the business, predominantly looking at FX, Letters of Credit, Cash Management, and Bank Guarantees for the main business and all subsidiary companies.

LOCATION: City of London (St Paul’s area)
SALARY: £45-50K
START: ASAP (max 1 month notice)
TYPE: Permanent, full-time


CORE DUTIES
• Handling trade finance transactions (export/import Letters of Credit , without L/C, stand-by L/C and Bank Guarantees)
• Supervise trade finance transactions and managing and resolving queries from business and corporate departments in all EMEA offices and Group companies
• Support loan, deposit, FX related transactions for EMEA offices and Group Companies
• Registration and maintaining CBI on SAP for payment
• Performing payment run operations for other European Offices
• In response to internal orders, making FX contracts with banks
• Input details of deals into SAP and other systems so that back office staff can confirm with banks
• Support other members of staff on cash management, payment related jobs
• Advising members of staff in EMEA branch offices on FX matters
• Entering all treasury data, including all types of loans/deposits

IDEAL APPLICANT
• Experience working in a Trade Finance department within an international corporate bank, or international trading company – with a strong FX focus
• Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• IT skills including; Word, Excel, and SAP
• Good general knowledge of finance, financial markets and accounting
• Working experience in the financial markets would be advantageous
• Educated to at least A-level, a degree in finance or similar is preferred
