A leading London based advisory & consultancy business, working with a range of mostly Far East clients for corporate services including HR, legal, insurance, and staff benefits, are now looking for a capable and experienced Mandarin-speaking Business Development individual to join their Chinese market expat medical insurance services team.

The role will be marketing the company as the consultancy of choice for Chinese companies based in the UK and Europe for expatriate medical insurance services. A background in insurance broking would be a distinct advantage.
Your role will be to maintain the company’s client base within the UK & EU Chinese business community using a range of marketing tools including brochures, presentations, events and referrals. Day-to-day business will normally be conducted in Mandarin Chinese, and in the context of a Chinese working culture.


SALARY: £25-28K, depending on experience
LOCATION: City of London, Liverpool St area
START: ASAP
TYPE: Permanent, full time


CORE DUTIES:
• Become an expert in in expatriate medical insurance products
• Provide full customer support
• Liaise between the clients and insurance company to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service at all time
• Arrange and process renewals every year
• Generate quotations for both new account and renewals
• Actively seeking potential clients in the Chinese market
• Maintain client files
• Translate various documents (English/Chinese) as required

IDEAL APPLICANT:
• Totally fluent in Mandarin Chinese & English (both languages written & spoken)
• Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a business subject
• Relevant services sales experience
• Experience of working for/with international companies
• Experience in insurance broking will be an distant advantage
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
• Ability to organize events and work under pressure
• High level of computer literacy in Microsoft, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• A willingness to travel anywhere in the UK and Europe, often at short notice
