Business IT Systems Specialist

An international business group with diversified activities in the fields of foods, chemicals, commodities, metals, transport, aerospace, finance and others, are seeking a broadly-skills Business IT Systems Specialist to join their Central London team who are supporting the development of IT systems and applications in EMEA Region.

LOCATION: Central London
SALARY: £32-35K
TYPE: Permanent, full time

• 1st Line support for ERP software systems
• User support and problem solving related to SAP R3 System (SD/MM/ FI and BW)
• Prepare feasibility study for new systems and subsystems, based on business department needs
• Working closely with users to ensure any new systems meet business needs
• Coordinate sub-system projects from initiation to completion
• Troubleshoot and correct different interface errors between SAP and related sub-systems
• New staff SAP user training
• Prepare HIPO flowcharts
• Compliance and documentation of new systems procedures
• Maintain close communication with relevant trade divisions and service departments
• Coordinate all vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors

• Strong Maths and English skills, to at least A-level (or overseas equivalent)
• Professional written and spoken English Language skills
• Working practical knowledge of SAP R/3 system
• Good experience of modules such as SD, MM and FI would be highly beneficial
• Experience of delivering in-house IT trading
• Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a simple manner
• Good presentation skills, able to train teams/staff on new tools & systems
• Must have the ability to liaise with staff at all levels
• Ability to prioritise own work efficiently
• Can work well on own initiative, and within a team environment
• Very high standard of organisation, accuracy and attention to detail required
• Ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure
• Microsoft Office 2010/2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) to at least intermediate level
• Knowledge of Concur, Sage, Asset Management
• Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) standards
• Basic SQL skills
