An immigration firm is seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking Immigration Consultant to join their dynamic and energetic office in the City.

The successful applicant will have strong communication skills in English and Mandarin and strong UK immigration experience.

SALARY: Junior £35 –£45K
LOCATION: West London
TYPE: Permanent, Full time
START: ASAP
HOUR: 9am – 5.30pm


CORE DUTIES
• Delivering exceptional client service to a diverse client base, including High Net Worth Individuals, Asian / Far Eastern families and companies
• Mix of corporate and individual (human rights) immigration experiences
• Proven track record of success rate & commercial acumen
• Proactive with legal updates to advise colleagues and clients
• Working directly with the Director, as well as training and supervising junior staff
• Writing legal articles and blog posts
• Assisting with team management and office administration duties
• Assisting with business development and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
• Legal casework on immigration law
• Attending meetings with clients, taking instructions and preparing for applications
• Be able to ensure a high level of service with existing clients in order to secure repeat business
• Advise, assess and collect relevant documents for immigration process
• Comply and deliver within set deadlines


IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Totally fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin / Cantonese)
• At least 3 years+ of independent, client-facing immigration casework experience in a UK legal firm
• Minimum qualification at Level 1 OISC / SRA / IASS / CILEX or equivalent
• Possess strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of UK business immigration routes
• Clear, articulate and confident written and verbal communication skills
• Strong client service skills with the ability to provide advice on complex cases
• Able to demonstrate resilience, self-motivation and a positive can-do attitude
• Hard-working and committed to completing tasks well with good attention to detail
• Primarily a team player but able to work under own initiative
• Proficient in use of office software and Online research resource
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
• Ability to contribute to a positive work environment
