A major IT and telecoms service provider based in the City of London is seeking a Part-Time Junior Helpdesk Intern (1st line support) to assist 2 days per week at a client site

This entry-level role will be delivering new projects and products - this will involve being a bridge between sales, customers, product-planning-divisions and the IT operation centre focusing on documentation, operation design and actual operations.

TYPE: Part time (2 days per week)
LENGTH: 6 month contract to start, possible extension
LOCATION: City of London (zone 1)
RATE: up to £90 per day

• 6-24 months experience in an IT support role
• Ability to work on own initiative, individually, or as a member of a team
Support experience with
• Microsoft Windows O/S (W7, W10)
• Network Shares
• MS Office products
• Experience supporting laptops, and remote access users
• File & print services

Addition skills; ideal but not necessarily essential
• MS Office365
• MS Project
• Adobe Acrobat Pro (DC)
• SharePoint
• SpiceWorks

• 1st and 2nd line IT support for a small number of staff; operation of the IT Helpdesk system section at a customer site
• General user support – Outlook, Remote Access, Windows file and print, and Office 365, operation support to in house users
• Escalation to 2nd line support including external 3rd parties
• Equipment setup for desk moves, office layout change
• Update system asset register
• General administration and maintenance for IT
• Any other general ICT duties

• Microsoft operating systems (Windows XP, 7, 10, Server 20xx)
• Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype for Business, PowerPoint, 365 Suite)
• Security products (McAfee, Symantec, BitLocker)
• Remote access tools
• SpiceWorks IT Helpdesk
• VMWare
