German-speaking Technical Sales – Plastics

A small UK office international business based in the Hammersmith area is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Executive who is fluent in German to join their plastics division.
Working in a small local team of 3, and liaising with the European office in Germany, the ideal applicant will have a technical awareness of the international lighting industry.


TYPE: Permanent, full time
SALARY: up to £40K + benefits

LOCATION: West London / Hammersmith area


CORE DUTIES
• Generate leads with new lighting and signage companies; convert into sales and an ongoing requirement for the product
• Manage and develop business relationships with German-speaking customers
• Stock planning; proactively acquire the stock requirement of assigned and new customers for a 3 month period, to ensure product availability at all times
• Build and maintain proactive relationships with new business targets, companies in existing territories and new territories to be assigned
• Produce quotations
• Undertake customer visits
• In conjunction with the manager, plan, produce and implement the business strategy and budget for the assigned business accounts and territories
• Prepare annual forecasts and budgets for assigned customer base
• Produce regular monthly visit reports, reporting to the manager
• Work closely with admin staff to ensure processes are complied with and deliveries executed in a timely manner


IDEAL APPLICANT
• Fluent in German (to business negotiation level)
• At least 2+ years technical sales experience
• A technical awareness of the lighting industry
• Full UK/EU driving license
• Educated to university degree level in a business subject, or engineering
• Ability to develop strong long term business relationships with end users and distributors
• An aptitude for working with complex technical products
• Drive, motivation, resilient and resourceful
• Strong negotiation skills
