A blue-chip multinational general trading house is seeking an experienced automotive business development specialist to join their City of London team.

Managing 1 staff member, and reporting directly to the head of the automotive trading department, the role will collaborate and facilitate effective and timely communication with internal/external related parties in order to develop and improve business, analyse the financial and commercial status of group companies on a monthly basis, and conduct feasibility studies on automotive markets and related industries for development, opportunity finding, and incubation of any new business within the European region.

SALARY: £50-65K, depending on experience

• Analysis, feasibility studies and other new business development activity
• Co-work and communication; best practice information sharing amongst group companies, and shareholders' policy & strategy
• Planning of strategic meetings / taskforce
• Undertake special assignments as directed
• Collaboration and general communication with corporate departments and other business units across Europe
• Handling and status control of application / reports by group companies
• Follow up of conditions for approval
• Internal audit follow up
• Supervising administration for European group companies

• Experience in the automotive sector, specifically in the pan-European automotive distributor or dealer field
• Confident in conducting face-to-face client meetings with stakeholders at all levels
• Work experience within a multicultural business environment
• Experience managing new business / sales activities
• Educated to Bachelor Degree level (or equivalent)
• Preferably additional degree in Management and Business Administration
• Able to communicate with and motivate staff
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint + Access or a similar database
• Self-driven, proactive
• Comfortable in dealing with senior management / key stakeholders
• Empathic communicator

• Able to travel regularly within the UK & Europe
