Bringing incoming tourists from the Far East to Europe, the business focuses on the provision of wholesale hotel accommodation and related online products.

The Area Hotel Contract Manager sits within the Contracts and Purchasing Department and will be in charge of targeting clients with a number of new hotel products. This role involves frequent travel and liaison with suppliers, sales offices as well as other departments within the company.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing a team of up to 6 contractors, in addition to:

• Negotiate with suppliers and regularly monitor to ensure the best rates
• Negotiate special offers and exclusive deals with all hotels throughout the year
• Ensure all hotels are re-contracted with specific deadlines
• Address and resolve any standard/service level issues with suppliers
• Investigate and resolve internal issues with operation/account colleagues
• Closely monitor the room production and work with all the relevant parties to stimulate growth of bookings, room nights and revenue
• Conduct required number of business trips to improve relations with suppliers and negotiate best in market rates in line with business requirements
• Identify new product in line with room nights and sales requirements
• Undertake ongoing analysis of product and quality within contracting area to maintain consistent product offering for clients
• Comprehensive understand of the internal systems and processes in order to contract more efficiently and effectively


IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Experience in hotel contracting within Spain, ideally within wholesale model, group and FIT
• Ideally experience in leading a team of buyers in meeting challenging targets
• Fluent Spanish
• Full driving license
• Proven staff management skills
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Commercial acumen
