Mandarin-speaking National Account Manager – Food Products

A niche international name in oriental food products is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their very small central London office.
The role will manage and develop the sales and relationship with their key Chinese distributors in the UK. The role will suit someone with previous knowledge or experience with major Chinese food companies including: Hoo Hing, Seewoo, Wing Yip, Long Fung, Lee Kum Kee, Freshasia, Interlink, Kwan Yick and etc.

LOCATION: Central London
SALARY: Start from £30K, depending on experience could be higher
START: ASAP
TYPE: Permanent, full time


CORE DUTIES
• Reaching the targets and goals set for clients in the Chinese Channel
• Servicing the needs of the customers
• Developing the range and distribution within the key distributors
• Work with key distributors to drive rate of sales
• Develop joint business plan with key distributors
• Find and develop new opportunities within the Chinese channel
• Responsible for maximising commercial return through Chinese channel

IDEAL APPLICANT
• Totally fluent in Mandarin (both written and spoken)
• Experience in world foods, particularly Japanese and Chinese cuisines
• Knowledge of the UK Food market, particularly ethnic retail and foodservice
• Strong commercial acumen
• Previous knowledge / experience with: Hoo Hing, Seewoo, Wing Yip, Long Fung, Lee Kum Kee, Freshasia, Interlink, Kwan Yick etc. (not essential but would be an advantage).

• Self-motivated
• Good communicator internally and externally
• International outlook
• Passion for food
• Cantonese will be a plus
