Mandarin-speaking Manager Assistant

A leading travel consulting company is looking for a Mandarin-speaking Manager Assistant to join their London headquarters.

They are looking for a flexible target orientated, self-driven professional to support the General Manager. The successful candidate will need have strong time management abilities in order to coordinate and follow up on all clients and projects with internal departments and external business partners.

You will report to the general manager directly and work as a team. Initially this role will involve Account Management responsibilities including meeting clients, pitching and following up on projects to consultative selling techniques to achieve a better turnover.

LOCATION: West End, London
SALARY: £25-30K
START: ASAP


CORE DUTIES:
• Assist the General Manager for key accounts’ follow up
• Communicate between London and domestic offices, (must be able to travel 20% each year for international projects)
• Understand client’s requirements, brief the creative and strategic planning teams and pitch creative ideas and proposals for clients (with GM)
• Work within business development to rapidly on board new clients
• Bringing in new business for the company through telephone calls, mail/e-mail and face-to-face meetings with potential clients. Following up leads from all sources
• Structuring projects and devising efficient processes
• Liaising with clients and project engineer to ensure projects run smoothly
• Helping and assisting the manager control the budgets

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Totally fluent in English and Mandarin-Chinese
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Overseas student experience or UK education background is highly preferred
• Minimum 1 year or equivalent of experiences in tourism, luxury consulting or hospitality industry is highly preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and detail-oriented
• Exhibit strong partnering skills and excels in a team dynamic
• Reliable personality, be responsible for all details
