A Japanese entertainment company is currently recruiting an ambitious and established Localisation Director, who will be in charge of leading a team of Localisation Coordinators and collaborating with other teams involved with projects in Europe. The successful candidate will have responsibility for directing project coordination and proactive communication on localisation status to both internal and external stakeholders.

Occasional travel may be involved with this role and fluency in both English and Japanese is required.

TYPE: Permanent, full-time

SALARY: £70-80K level depending on experience



• Maintaining positive working relationships with, and coordinating the communications between, internal and external parties
• Overseeing overall localisation team budget, planning, and resource allocation – ensuring resources are used efficiently
• Directing the team to effectively manage projects
• Coaching team members to facilitate growth
• Reporting project status clearly to a cross-functional team and executives including issues, resource needs and propose plans for resolving barriers

Skills and experience required:
• Fluent English and Japanese
• Excellent bilingual communication competences – writing, speaking, facilitating and presenting in English and Japanese
• 8-10 years’ experience in localisation project management in Europe
• Demonstrable cross cultural awareness
• Ability to mentor, encourage and learn from a diverse and talented team
• Operational excellence, innovative thinking and creative problem solving abilities
• Development of best practices in project management and managing team deliverables
