International Corporation based in London seeks an Insurance Risk Analyst to provide and develop Insurance Risk Management services to all business units, subsidiaries, and affiliates in the company’s EMEA/CIS operations.


Core Duties

• Day-to-day insurance operation for existing and new business
• Annual insurance renewal
• Insurance claim handling
• Advise on historical claims data across multi-insurance lines, suggesting loss prevention measures
• Relationship management with insurers and insurance brokers
• Collect latest information from the insurance market, summarise and share with related parties
• Review and restructure insurance programs and procure insurance coverage for multi insurance lines
• Research and Development support for new investment.

The role

• Day-to-day insurance operations for existing and new business

• Collaborate with business departments, other corporate departments, group companies, insurance brokers, insurers (‘Related Parties’), Insurance Business Department, Insurance Risk Management Department, Risk Management Department and other regional offices

• Deal with general enquiries and questions from Business Departments, other Corporate Departments, and Group Companies.

• Analyse basic contracts and insurance policies from an insurance risk management point of view, identifying liability/indemnity in contracts, insurable risks, insured risks. Make suggestions regarding optimal terms and conditions in contracts and insurance program.

• Take initiative and having discussions with the Related Parties upon the annual renewal of insurance programs.

• Handle and support insurance claims if accidents are encountered.

• Based on historical claims data across multi-insurance lines, support risk survey and loss prevention processes for existing and new business.


Ideal candidate

• 8-10 years’ experience in insurance brokering
• Experience in major insurance lines such as marine cargo/stock, property, liability insurance and experience in conducting insurance due diligence and promoting insurance post-merger integration
• Educated to degree level ideally in Business Administration, Finance or a related area or hold a professional qualification in an insurance business area (such as ACII, or Cert CII)
• Experience working as an account executive or consultant for clients within an insurance broker
• Intermediate MS Office skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Desired:
• Experience in insurance risk management within multinational corporations
• Experience in insurance Due Diligence and PMI support for new investments
• Wide range of insurance expertise, such as property and Casualty, Marine (Cargo), Auto, Construction, energy, Aviation
• SAP system knowledge
