1. Overall purpose of Job

• To promote, develop and execute financial instruments such as foreign equities, euro bonds, futures, options and FXs with brokers upon authorisation by FCA as an approved person under category CF30
• This activity is carried out on behalf of the company under the FCA’s permission “Managing investments”
• Key responsibilities include interpreting financial/market news and determining market sentiment via research, valuation and data analysis


2. Duties and responsibilities

• To execute financial instruments between the company’s European entity and brokers in London, EEA, USA and Japan (the “Global Trading”). The Global Trading shall be executed and settled by the company’s own account (proprietary trading) under a discretionary mandate and relevant instructions within a limited trading capacity, a proprietary dealer,etc.
• To execute financial instruments between the Company and brokers in London, EEA, USA and Japan (the “Brokerage Services”)
• The Brokerage Services shall be executed and settled by company’s own account (client trading) under a firm mandate and relevant instructions
• To analyse financial/market information and determining market sentiment via research, valuation and data analysis
• To share all relevant information with colleagues within the front office of the “Company” so as to maximise business flows within the compliance limits
• To provide assistance to your Supervisor
• To comply with all the Company rules, policies and procedures


Ideal candidate

• Strong exposure to financial services and commercial products such as foreign equities, euro bonds, futures, options and FX
• Experience in executing financial instruments with London based Brokers
• Extensive contact list / knowledge of London-based financial brokers
• Confident working in a small, multicultural environment
• Experience working in an East Asian business setting would be highly desirable but not essential
