IT Infrastructure Engineer

A leading Japanese IT company is currently looking for an experienced Engineer who can support customers’ system integration and other various infrastructure needs.
You will be in charge of mainly 1st line support for multiple Japanese business customers.
Business level English language skill is required, and either German or Japanese language skills would be advantageous.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: Between 8:00 to 9:00 start, 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday
SALARY: Up to €40K -60K depending on experience
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Dusseldorfoffice (Work from home, 3 days per week available)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 1st and 2nd line support for customer specific systems
• 1st line support at clients’ site
• Supporting dealing with the customers from a technical perspective in case opportunities, requests, trouble, or questions arise
• Defining the requirements from the customers to design the network, specify the specs and create BOM
• Project Management
• Setting up, configuring and implementing the equipment at customers‘ premises, the office or DC on-site, or remotely
• Acting upon any situation that requires technical and engineering assistance
• Server and PC installation according to company directives
• Administration of Active Directory at customer’s site
• Planning, Installation, and support of customers’ IT-Infrastructure
• Consulting and installation of Network, Firewalls, and Internet access
• Remote-Support for customers as well as on-site support if requested
• Full support and troubleshooting for Microsoft operating systems and standard office applications
• Monitor and maintain customers’ Internet connectivity, Network, and Server systems
• Communication and coordination with IT responsible persons abroad
• Defining standards for the hardware/software used/preferred
• Lifecycle management
• Problem prevention

KNOWLEDGE/FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
• Excellent technical skills (especially Sler, server security, and clouds transformation related experience)
• Proven work experience as an IT support/helpdesk engineer or systems administrator
• Keen to work in a Japanese company and with an international team
• Service provider mindset
• Highly reliable and well organized
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible regarding new tasks
• Business-level English language skills

Desirable:
• Prior work experience at an IT service provider is highly preferred
