In this role, you will be responsible for managing the mechanical purchasing portfolio for parts and mechanical sub-assemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications and purchase contracts, and conducting sourcing for affordable suppliers.
The ideal candidate should have strong purchasing and negotiation skills, good mechanical knowledge, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
Business proficiency in both English and French is required.

WORKING HOURS: 9:00 -17:30 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: €37k - €42k (Depending on experience) + Health Insurance and other benefits
LOCATION: Orleans, France
Mechanical Purchaser Main Responsibilities:
• Managing the mechanical purchasing portfolio for parts and mechanical sub-assemblies
• Ensuring compliance with specifications and purchase contracts with suppliers
• Identifying, selecting, evaluating, and auditing suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers on an international scale
• Performing sourcing from affordable suppliers
• Conducting cost studies for outsourcing decisions (make or buy strategy)
• Negotiating prices and delivery times
• Monitoring performance indicators
• Defining procurement needs (safety stock, reorder points) in collaboration with Production and After-Sales
• Tracking and analysing supplier non-quality issues, coordinating with QA, and implementing corrective actions
• Integrating CSR considerations into the purchasing process
• Participating in the ERP change project
Mechanical Purchaser Ideal Candidate:
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Higher education in Purchasing / Supply Chain
• Good mechanical knowledge (reading detailed drawings, tolerancing, machining processes, materials and treatments)
• Strong purchasing and negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Client and results oriented mindset
• Experience with ERP systems
• Autonomous and proactive
• Business level fluency in English
