An international insurance company is seeking a Property Underwriter to support its corporate insurance business in Europe.
This role will focus on assessing property-related risks for corporate clients, including buildings, factories, warehouses and equipment.
The successful candidate will help determine appropriate insurance terms, coverage and pricing while working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Property Underwriter Main Responsibilities
You will be responsible for assessing corporate property risks and supporting underwriting decisions for commercial and industrial insurance cases.
• Review and assess Commercial / Industrial Property insurance applications
• Evaluate risks related to buildings, factories, warehouses, equipment and business premises
• Assess exposure to fire, natural catastrophe, equipment breakdown and business interruption risks
• Review loss history, claims records and relevant risk information
• Determine underwriting terms, pricing, deductibles, limits and coverage conditions
• Work with brokers, sales teams and internal stakeholders on underwriting matters
• Support renewal reviews and reassess terms based on risk and profitability
• Follow internal underwriting guidelines and approval processes
• Coordinate with Risk Engineering teams where required
• Support profitable growth of the corporate property insurance portfolio

Property Underwriter Ideal Candidate
<Required>
• 3–7 years of Property Underwriting experience within a non-life insurance company, reinsurance company or major insurance broker
• Experience in Commercial Property, Industrial Property or Corporate Property insurance
• Business level of fluency in both English and German
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
• Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

• Knowledge of P&C, Liability, Marine or Business Interruption insurance
• Experience working with Risk Engineering teams
• Experience negotiating with brokers or corporate clients
• Experience working in an international environment
