- An established company specialising in research and advice on Japanese equities are seeking a Salesperson to join its team in Burton-on-Trent.
You will support the development of new business by approaching prospective clients, introducing the company’s research services and building long-term client relationships.
The ideal candidate should have business level of fluency in both Japanese and English, with a confident and personable approach to communication.

Main Responsibilities
• Identify and approach prospective clients to introduce the company’s research services
• Present and explain services based on individual client requirements
• Support negotiations and secure new business opportunities to achieve sales targets
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Respond to client enquiries and provide ongoing customer support
• Understand clients’ investment and research needs and coordinate appropriate services
• Resolve client issues in a professional and timely manner
• Work closely with colleagues to support wider sales and business development activities
Ideal Candidate
• Experience in sales, or research for cash equities (Japanese small/mid-cap preferred, but general equities experience is fine)
• Business level of fluency in both Japanese and English
• Strong interest in developing a career in sales and client relationship management
• Friendly, confident and engaging communication style
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible, adaptable and comfortable working as part of a team
Conditions
• Location: Burton-on-Trent
• Working Style: office-based for junior candidates, hybrid or remote working may be considered for experienced candidates
• Salary: negotiable depending on experience, plus bonus
• Job Type: permanent, full-time
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:30
• Start: ASAP
