An exciting opportunity has arisen! A company specialising in enhancing art, culture, and language relations with Japan is looking for a Culture & Art Projects Assistant to join their team.
Native level of English and some interest and understanding of Japanese language and culture would be advantageous.

TYPE: Temporary contract, full-time
SALARY: £14.84/h + holiday pay
PERIOD: 25th May 2026 – 28th Aug 2026 (There is a possibility to be expended or become permanent.)
WORKING HOURS: Mon-Fri, 09:30 – 17:30 with 13:00 – 14:00 unpaid lunch break
**Event period you’ll be expected to work over weekends + some overtime
LOCATION: London (west) office / on-site or occasionally work from home available


DUTIES:
• Creating documents such as programmes and questionnaires
• Managing attendee lists prior to events (compiling online data, contacting VIPs)
• Distributing materials, assisting attendees, and supporting general operations at the event venue on the day
• Assisting with project marketing and publicity
• Compiling and analysing questionnaire data
• Handling general administrative tasks such as sending out materials
• Supporting communication with external parties (co-sponsors, sponsors, etc.)

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Proficiency in basic office tasks, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Attention to detail and ability to handle precise tasks
• Native-level English (able to write in English without requiring proofreading)
• Proficiency in managing social media and skills in image editing software like Photoshop (preferable)
• An interest in Japanese films is an advantage
• Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese language skills will be advantageous, but English proficiency takes priority
