A Japanese forwarding company in London is looking for an experienced and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join their team, to be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, promoting logistics services, and driving sales growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international logistics sales or shipping operations, with a deep understanding of freight forwarding processes.
Business level of English language skills will be required.

Inside Sales Representative Main Responsibilities:
• Responding to and following up on quotations from their overseas offices, and providing instructions to the Operations Staff after receiving orders
• Handling quotation requests and follow-ups from existing clients, and providing instructions to the Operations Staff after order confirmation
• Negotiating with suppliers regarding pricing, space availability, schedules, etc.
• Visiting clients, when necessary, together with the Managing Director (myself), Sales Representative, or Operations Manager
• Making sales calls to potential clients
• Reporting: Sales activity reports and performance summaries
• Preparing materials: Creating presentation documents and promotional flyers
• Sales planning: Identifying and selecting target clients, and planning and proposing sales strategies
• Preparing documentation: Drafting contracts and credit application forms
• Credit control: Managing accounts receivable and following up on outstanding payments

Inside Sales Representative Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience in international logistics sales or shipping operations is required
• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding processes, customs procedures, and logistics services
• Proven track record in sales, with the ability to meet or exceed targets
• Experience working with Japanese clients and understanding of Japanese business culture (Preferred)
• Familiarity with logistics software and shipping management tools (Preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities (Preferred)
