Regional Digital Transformation Lead (EMEA)

This role is ideal for someone with a strong leadership background in digital transformation within logistics, supply chain, or food-related industries, and proven experience in leading large-scale DX initiatives across international markets.

TYPE: Full-time role, initially 1 year contract (there is potential to become permanent)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30, Monday to Friday (30 minutes lunch break)
SALARY: €100k–€125k per annum, depending on experience (incl. 1-month bonus and holiday allowance)
START: ASAP (TBD)
LOCATION: Amstelveen, the Netherlands (after training, 1 day working from home is acceptable)
Benefit: Commute allowance, pension scheme, 25 days annual leave
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly report to Chief Digital Officer in Tokyo HQ
- Act as a regional owner of the company’s five-year digital transformation strategy (WAVE programme) across UK, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands
- Lead regional digital projects in collaboration with the global digital team, regional IT head, and regional business transformation lead
- Plan and execute AI/automation initiatives in supply chain, procurement, logistics, and sales
- Drive internal pilot programmes ahead of global deployment (e.g., customer digital interfaces, predictive inventory planning, food safety traceability systems)
- Collaborate closely with EMEA leadership and C-suite stakeholders to design and deliver new business models through technology
- Lead strategic vendor selection, team development, and external innovation partnership building
- Contribute to global DX governance and continuous improvement of digital infrastructure
- Regularly report to the Global CDO on progress, risks, and recommendations for EMEA transformation projects
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in senior IT/Digital Transformation leadership roles (in-house, consulting, or IT firms)
- Proven track record in leading end-to-end digital transformation projects in logistics, supply chain, or operations-intensive industries
- Minimum 3 years of experience implementing AI-driven initiatives at scale
- Familiarity with global ERP, SCM, or trade management systems is preferred
- Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management and communication skills in multicultural environments
- Strong strategic mindset with analytical and innovation-driven approach
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, AI, or related fields is advantageous
- Fluency in English; additional European or Japanese language skills are a plus
