A Japanese Trading Company in the Netherlands is currently looking for an Interim Bookkeeper (part-time) to work in their Amsterdam office.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing accounting support, managing revenue and costs, assisting with payroll and tax, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required for this role. An understanding of Japanese culture would be advantageous but not a must.

TYPE: Part-time, Service agreement base. Remuneration calculated hourly charge
WORKING HOURS: 9:15-17:30 (one hour break), 3-4 days/ week
SALARY: Hourly rate of 30-40 euro (includes, fixed bonus, and holiday allowance)
START: mid-Oct 2025 to the end of Mar 2026
LOCATION: Amsterdam, Netherlands (Office-based)

Interim Bookkeeper (part-time) Main Responsibilities:
Part-Out (PO) Business support
● Revenue / cost of sales control and accrual entry
● Impairment and inventory reservation calculation (including reversal entry)
● Monthly inventory reconciliation
● Arranging approval for inventory disposal
● Review of invoices related to PO business
● Regular reporting work to Tokyo HQ

Accounting support
● Daily accounting operational activities and necessary reporting; entry of accounting journals as per instruction including entries in the accounting system
● Prepare, book, keep and file all vouchers, record any documents for account as per instruction
● Checking purchase invoice and book it in system
● Prepare the payment instructions and bank entries in the various bank systems for approval by management
● Assist with the month end closing processes and ensure all necessary entries are complete
● Preparing DIVA reporting and documents requested from headquarters and completing DIVA input and other related companies
● Discussing with headquarters on the intercompany payments and accruals such as Secondment Fee, Guarantee fee and depreciation expense
● Filing BTW (VAT) to the tax authority after approval of Director and arranging its payment

● Payroll
● Wage Tax

Others
● Assist the Accounting Manager for the daily operational activities and necessary reporting
● Not limited to the listed works herein, all other works including works for our group Companies, which shall be requested and/or instructed by Directors or Managers of SAM are to be conducted by the Employee

Interim Bookkeeper (part-time) Ideal Candidate:
● At least 3 years of Accounting or Bookkeeping experience is required
● Business level of English fluency is required
● Sufficient computer skills (MS, Word Excel etc.)
● Communicative and strong social skills
● Accurate and able to take initiative
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
● Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
● Any understanding or language knowledge of Japanese is advantageous
