In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policy within the organisation, ensuring compliance with safety, health and environmental laws and regulations, and conducting internal audits and inspections.
The ideal candidate should speak business proficient Dutch, have a strong background in safety, health and environmental policies, excellent communication skills, and relevant certifications.

TYPE: Initial one-year contract to become permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Core hours: 10am to 3pm
SALARY: Negotiable, depending on experience

LOCATION: Geleen, Netherlands (hybrid working can be considered after probation)
SHE Specialist Main Responsibilities:
● Developing, implementing and maintaining the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policy within the organisation
● Ensuring compliance with safety, health and environmental laws and regulations
● Drawing up and carrying out risk analyses and implementing appropriate measures
● Organising and coordinating training and toolboxes in the field of safety and health
● Advising management and employees on safety and health issues
● Conducting internal audits, inspections and safety rounds to verify compliance with safety regulations
● Preparation of reports and statistics related to safety, health, and the environment
SHE Specialist Ideal Candidate:
● Relevant work experience as a SHE Officer or similar position
● Knowledge of laws and regulations in the field of safety, health and the environment
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade and motivate others
● Knowledge and experience with Chemical Management
● ISO-14001 certification is an advantage
● Business level fluency in Dutch and English
