A Japanese trading company is currently recruiting a Back Office Clerk to join its Milan office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of commercial back office or order processing experience who is looking to further develop their career in an international environment. You will support the Italian market by managing sales operations, coordinating with internal departments and assisting with export-related activities. The ideal candidate should have commercial back office experience, strong Excel skills and a proactive approach to customer support and problem solving.

Main Responsibilities
• Process customer orders and enter orders into the ERP system in line with quotations and existing contracts
• Prepare order confirmations, proforma invoices and maintain customer master data
• Produce and update operational reports to support management decision-making
• Act as the operational contact for customers and coordinate with the Sales, Logistics, Warehouse and After-sales teams
• Monitor orders and deliveries, resolving operational issues, delays and customer enquiries
• Prepare documentation for domestic and export shipments
• Support process improvements and provide administrative support across departments
Ideal Candidate
• 1-2 years' experience in commercial back office, sales administration or order processing
• High school diploma or university degree
• Native-level fluency in Italian
• Business level of fluency in English
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, IF functions, and Pivot Tables
• Experience using ERP or other business management systems
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Proactive team player with good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage priorities

• Salary: €25,000-€28,000 per annum depending on experience
