The European office of a Japanese manufacturing company is currently recruiting a Marketing and Communication Specialist to support its growing business operations.
The role focuses on coordinating marketing activities, creating promotional materials, and supporting sales initiatives across Europe. This is an opportunity for an early-career marketing professional to gain hands-on experience in an international environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments, external vendors, and headquarters in Japan to coordinate marketing activities and communications across Europe.

Main Responsibilities
• Support and represent the company in marketing, advertising, and public relations activities, including trade shows, conferences, media contacts, online posts, customer presentations, brochures, and catalogues
• Report directly to the CEO in a timely and accurate manner
• Work closely with Commercial, R&D, Regulatory, Finance, and Logistics teams
• Coordinate with headquarters in Japan to ensure European marketing activities are aligned with company requirements
• Coordinate logistics, materials, bookings, and schedules for international trade shows and exhibitions, including approximately 4–5-day trips within Europe every 2–3 months
• Draft and format customer-facing newsletters and other internal and external communications
• Collaborate with external design vendors to ensure consistent branding and timely delivery
• Support ad hoc back-office tasks and administrative needs

Ideal Candidate
• At least 3 years' experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with marketing tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, or basic CMS
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
• Fluent business-level English
• Dutch and/or Japanese language skills are advantageous but not required
• Strong team player who can also work independently, with good attention to detail
• Comfortable working in an international environment and liaising with external vendors
• Interest in food, nutrition, and/or beauty industries is advantageous

Conditions
• Location: Amsterdam area, the Netherlands
• Working Style: hybrid
• Salary: €45,360–€64,800 per month
• Job Type: initially 1-year contract, with the aim of long-term employment
• Working Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible; core hours 10:00–16:00
• Start: ASAP
• Benefits: transportation fee, pension, parking depending on office occupation
