An international consulting company is currently recruiting a Project Manager for Business Development to join its Tokyo office.
The Project Manager will be responsible for developing business opportunities for international clients in the Japanese market, managing the full business development cycle, and supporting cross-border commercial projects across innovative technology sectors.
The ideal candidate should have business development experience, Business level of fluency in Japanese and English, and an interest in working with international clients and emerging technologies.

Main Responsibilities
• Develop and implement business development strategies for the Japanese market
• Manage the full sales and licensing cycle from lead generation to account management
• Identify and engage potential customers and business partners in Japan
• Conduct client meetings, presentations and commercial negotiations
• Build sales pipelines and provide market feedback to international clients
• Prepare meeting notes, reports and regular project updates
• Coordinate customer visits to Japan and provide business interpretation and cultural support
Ideal Candidate
• At least 3 years' experience working in Japan
• Degree in business, law, engineering, science or a related discipline, or relevant commercial experience
• Experience in business development, sales, engineering or technical roles within software, energy, materials, automotive or industrial sectors
• Business level of fluency in Japanese and English
• Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to quickly understand new technologies and communicate technical concepts to customers
• Passion for business development and international collaboration

• Salary: ¥6,000,000-¥7,000,000 per annum depending on experience
