TYPE: Fixed-term Contract / Contractor (approximately 2 years, negotiable)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:30 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: €40-50k, depending on experience
START: ASAP
TRAVEL: Initial business trip to China for equipment training, with additional travel as required
LOCATION: Catania, Italy (Customer Site) or Home-Based

Field Service Engineer Main Responsibilities:
• Install and commission semiconductor manufacturing equipment supplied by a Chinese manufacturer
• Provide operational training and technical support to customers
• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and after-sales service activities
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding technical issues
• Support equipment performance optimisation and problem resolution
• Prepare service reports and technical documentation as required
• Collaborate with supplier engineers during installation and support activities

Field Service Engineer Ideal Candidate:
• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the semiconductor industry
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills
• Ability to work independently and manage customer-facing technical support activities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel internationally for training and project support
• Business level of fluency (C1 level) in both English and Italian
