In this role, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, supporting period-end closings, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with German accounting and VAT regulations.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience in Germany. Professional proficiency in English and German at B2 level or above are required.

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 38.5h / week - flexible working hours
SALARY: depending on experience, but up to 52k(Gross) + 13th month bonus and performance bonus

LOCATION: Dusseldorf, Germany
Accounting Staff Main Responsibilities:
● Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger records
● Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and provisions
● Reconcile bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts
● Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
● Assist in preparation of financial statements and internal reports
● Ensure compliance with German VAT regulations and internal controls
● Support external audits and maintain GoBD-compliant documentation
● Support day-to-day treasury operations, including SAP payment runs and processing outgoing payments in online banking systems
● Post incoming and outgoing payments to suspense or clearing accounts
● Support cash and bank activities, including daily cash position monitoring, liquidity reporting, and bank account reconciliations
● Ensure accuracy of accounting data and master records
● Support process improvement initiatives
Accounting Staff Ideal Candidate:
● At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience in Germany
● A relevant vocational qualification in accounting / bookkeeping
● Solid knowledge of SAP S4HANA and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
● Business level fluency in English and Germany
● Strong analytical and organizational skills
● High attention to detail and accuracy
