A Japanese industrial products manufacturer operating across Europe is currently seeking 2–3 Production Operators to join its team due to increasing customer demand.
The company imports raw materials from Japan, processes and packages them at its local manufacturing facility according to customer specifications, and supplies finished products to customers across Europe.
In this position, you will be involved in the full manufacturing process, including preparing and loading raw materials onto production equipment, setting up and operating machinery, carrying out quality checks, and supporting packaging and shipment preparation.
Previous manufacturing experience is not essential. The company has successfully hired employees from other industries and will provide training. This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an interest in machinery and manufacturing, and can work responsibly as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities
• Prepare and transport raw materials used in the manufacturing process
• Load raw materials onto production equipment
• Set up, operate and monitor processing machinery
• Process products according to customer specifications
• Prepare and install packaging materials such as labels, film and cartons
• Check product appearance, processing quality and quantities
• Package finished products and prepare pallets
• Respond to minor issues or interruptions on the production line
• Carry out routine cleaning and basic daily checks of production equipment
• Work closely with production colleagues, shift leaders and back-office teams
• Perform other duties related to production operations as required
Some raw materials are heavy; however, machinery and lifting equipment are used for handling. The role may still involve some physical work, including moving or positioning products and materials.
A forklift licence is not required at the time of application. Depending on operational requirements, employees may have the opportunity to obtain forklift certification at the company's expense after joining.
Requirements
Essential
• Business level of fluency in Japanese
• Business level of fluency in German, sufficient for day-to-day communication within the production environment
• The right to work full-time in Germany on a long-term basis
• Ability to work on a shift basis
• Comfortable with standing work and some physically demanding tasks within a manufacturing environment
• Responsible, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
• Previous experience in manufacturing, factory or warehouse environments
• Experience as a Production Operator, Machine Operator or similar
• Experience manufacturing industrial products, components, packaging materials, printed products or processed materials
• Experience operating production machinery
• English language skills
• Previous manufacturing experience is not essential, and applicants from other industries are welcome.
Working Hours
• Working Hours: shift-based, 5 days per week
• Early Shift: 6:00–16:30
• Late Shift: 13:30–22:00
• Working days are generally Monday to Friday. Depending on production requirements, the production line may occasionally operate on Saturdays. Shifts will be arranged so that employees work five days per week.
Location:
• outskirts of Cologne, Germany
• Due to the location of the facility, commuting by car would be particularly convenient.
Salary:
• €36,000+ per annum, depending on experience
• Candidates with relevant manufacturing or machine operation experience may be considered for a higher salary.
• A winter bonus may also be paid depending on company performance.
