A major Japanese company is currently recruiting a UK Business Setup & Corporate Management Manager to support the establishment and operation of its new UK subsidiary.
The Corporate Project Manager will support the establishment of the UK subsidiary, oversee corporate administration, and coordinate with the headquarters in Japan, external advisers and local business partners.
The ideal candidate should have experience in corporate administration or project management, together with Business level of fluency in Japanese and English.

Main Responsibilities
• Support the establishment and launch of the UK subsidiary
• Coordinate with external advisers including legal, accounting and tax firms
• Liaise with the headquarters in Japan and provide regular reporting and updates
• Communicate with government authorities, banks, and external organisations
• Support the day-to-day administration and corporate operations of the UK entity
• Assist with cash management, including capital contributions, loans and investment-related transactions
• Coordinate accounting, tax and legal matters with internal and external stakeholders
• Support payroll administration and the implementation of company policies and internal procedures
• Maintain relationships with local business partners and attend meetings as required
• Act as the key liaison between the headquarters, UK advisers and local partners
• Manage project schedules, documentation and operational tasks related to the business launch
• Research UK business regulations and operational requirements and provide recommendations where appropriate
Ideal Candidate
• Experience coordinating between headquarters and local stakeholders in an international business environment
• Experience establishing or managing a UK or overseas subsidiary
• Experience in corporate administration, finance, accounting, HR or general affairs
• Experience coordinating with legal, tax or accounting advisers
• Experience working with external advisers such as accountants, tax advisers or legal professionals
• Experience within a start-up, overseas subsidiary or small corporate environment
• Understanding of corporate governance and compliance within the UK business environment
• Business level of fluency in Japanese and English
• Able to communicate flexibly with the headquarters in Japan across different time zones
• Able to work proactively and adapt to the changing priorities of a start-up or business launch environment
Conditions
• Location: London
• Working Style: Temp to Perm
* The client may consider various options flexibly, such as permanent employment, fixed-term contracts, temporary agency work or consultancy agreements.
• Salary: depending on experience
