A Japanese food company with a strong presence in Europe is currently recruiting a Sales Representative to join its UK sales team. The company specialises in authentic Japanese frozen food products and is expanding its sales activities across the UK market.
This role will focus on developing relationships with Japanese restaurants, Asian retailers, and foodservice customers, while supporting Key Account Managers with customer visits, product demonstrations, and new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have FMCG or foodservice sales experience, strong customer relationship-building skills, and a genuine interest in Japanese and Pan-Asian cuisine.

Main Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain relationships with Japanese restaurants, Asian retailers, and foodservice customers across the UK
• Support Key Account Managers through regular customer visits and field sales activities
• Identify new business opportunities and support product launches, promotions, and demonstrations
• Conduct product presentations and tasting sessions for customers, including restaurant owners and chefs
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer feedback
• Manage daily and weekly sales schedules independently and plan customer visits effectively

Ideal Candidate
• +3 years’ sales experience, ideally within FMCG, foodservice, food, or related industries
• Experience managing relationships with restaurants, retailers, distributors, or foodservice customers
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify sales opportunities and develop customer accounts
• Genuine interest in Japanese and Pan-Asian cuisine and understanding of Asian food trends
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based sales environment with regular UK travel
• Fluent written and spoken English communication skills
• Full clean UK driving licence preferred

Conditions
• Location: London (business trips for 2–3 days, approximately 3 times per month)
• Working Style: field-based with hybrid working available when required
• Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience
• Job Type: permanent, full-time
• Working Hours: 9:00–17:00 (flexible depending on customer schedules)
