An international logistics company is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the stable day-to-day operation and continuous service quality of its Contract Logistics function in Rotterdam.
You will be responsible for Warehouse Operations while working closely with Logistics Administration and Customer Service. As the No.2 within the operations team, you will support the Operations Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations and lead the team when required.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of practical logistics, warehousing or Contract Logistics experience, together with previous staff supervision or management experience at Team Leader, Supervisor or equivalent level.

Main Responsibilities
• Managing daily warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing and outbound activities
• Supervising warehouse staff and monitor progress, quality, productivity and safety
• Coordinating activities across Warehouse, Logistics Administration and Customer Service
• Handling day-to-day operational issues including delays, inventory discrepancies and customer complaints
• Communicating with customers regarding shipment status, inventory and other operational matters
• Supporting staff training, cross-training, KPI monitoring and SOP compliance
• Implementing operational improvements and supporting the Operations Manager in maintaining smooth daily operations
Ideal Candidate
• Practical experience in logistics, warehousing or Contract Logistics
• Previous staff supervision experience at Team Leader, Supervisor or equivalent level
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations with a hands-on approach
• Experience coordinating with Logistics Administration or Customer Service
• Ability to investigate operational issues and take appropriate initial action independently
• Business level of fluency in English
• Experience with WMS, KPI management, SOP improvement or B2B Contract Logistics would be advantageous
• Dutch language skills would be advantageous
Conditions
• Location: Rotterdam, the Netherlands
• Working Style: office-based
• Salary: €50,000-€52,000 gross per annum depending on experience, inclusive of 8% holiday allowance and 13th month payment
• Job Type: full-time, Starting with a 1-year contract, with intention of offering long-term employment
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• Start: ASAP
