A Japanese international company is currently recruiting a Senior Accountant to strengthen its accounting team in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The successful candidate will support the Accounting Manager in overseeing financial accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and year-end closing activities. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative international team and contribute to the smooth running of the company's German operations.
The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of financial accounting experience, excellent Excel skills, and a reliable, proactive, and flexible approach to work. Strong English communication skills are also important.

Main Responsibilities
• Manage accounts receivable, including outstanding payments, collections, and dunning procedures
• Handle accounts payable, invoice processing, and payment transactions
• Record provisions, accruals, and deferrals accurately
• Maintain fixed asset accounting records and calculate depreciation
• Assist with year-end closing activities and preparation of financial information
• Support the Accounting Manager with day-to-day accounting operations and related reporting
• Work closely with colleagues across departments and provide additional accounting support when required

Ideal Candidate
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting
• Good understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting procedures
• Very good Microsoft Excel skills
• Business level of fluency in English
• Fluent German or Fluent Japanese language skills would be advantageous
• Qualification as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) would be an advantage
• Reliable, diligent, and conscientious individual with a proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work under pressure

Conditions
• Location: Düsseldorf, Germany
• Working Style: office-based
• Salary: €60,000–€70,000 per annum depending on experience (including performance-based bonus)
• Job Type: full-time, permanent
• Working Hours: 38.5 hours per week, with Working hours can be adjusted between 7:30 and 19:30. (Core hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00–16:00; Friday, 9:00–14:0)
