A Japanese IT services company is currently recruiting a IT Senior Support Engineer to join its team based in Amsterdam.
In this role, you will provide technical support and infrastructure services to clients, working remotely with occasional on-site visits, while contributing to system integration and project delivery.

LOCATION: Amsterdam (Remote-based with 1–2 on-site visits per week)

Senior IT Support Engineer Main Responsibilities:
• Deliver technical support (L1–L3) to internal and external customers via remote and on-site channels, ensuring timely diagnosis and resolution of incidents
• Manage end-to-end support cases, maintaining high service quality and customer satisfaction
• Act as technical account manager and escalation point for multiple clients
• Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure and system integration solutions, including high-level and low-level architecture design
• Perform regular and on-demand system maintenance, ensuring stability, performance, and security compliance
• Monitor, manage, and maintain system assets, licenses, and documentation (e.g., asset inventory, runbooks, user manuals)
• Coordinate vendor support services and hardware/software lifecycle management
• Identify and mitigate security and quality risks, proactively preventing incidents and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards
• Gather and manage customer requirements (technical and non-technical), providing solution recommendations aligned with business needs
• Lead and mentor engineers, supporting knowledge sharing and capability development across teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders, proactively addressing technical challenges, improving workflows, and driving continuous improvement

Senior IT Support Engineer Ideal Candidate:
<Essential>
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS (10/11), Windows Server (2016–2025), and Microsoft 365
• Experience with Active Directory, GPO, printers, and shared environments
• Solid networking knowledge (routers, firewalls, switches)
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and client communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
<Desirable>
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V
• IT-related certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
• Japanese language skills
• Driving licence
