A Japanese IT company is currently recruiting an IT Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to join their Amsterdam office.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business development across Europe, primarily through seminar-led lead generation and strategic business development activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in IT solutions sales, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to build new business opportunities in an international environment.

TYPE: Full-time, Initially 1 year contract (There is potential for extension or a permanent contract)
SALARY: €54,000–€74,000 per year (including bonus, depending on experience)
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30 (30-minute lunch break)
START: ASAP (negotiable)
LOCATION: Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Main Responsibilities
• Plan, organise, and deliver seminars, including preparation, execution, and post-event follow-up
• Identify client business challenges through post-seminar discussions and convert leads into sales opportunities
• Generate new leads through networking via industry events and introductions from the Japan head office
• Respond to inbound enquiries via the company website and develop them into business opportunities
• Conduct pre-sales research on prospective clients, including business analysis and hypothesis building
• Continuously drive business development activities with a target of creating approximately six sales opportunities per month
• Collaborate with technical sales and pre-sales teams, who will lead solution design and quotation preparation

Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in IT solutions sales
• Proven experience in providing customised services tailored to individual client needs
• At least 2 years’ experience in new business development and/or international sales
• Knowledge of core business systems such as ERP (sales, procurement, manufacturing, accounting) is highly desirable
• Sales experience within manufacturing or logistics industries is an advantage
• Business level proficiency in both English and Japanese
